Outpatient Physical Therapist

Overview

• Deliver exceptional outpatient physical therapy services to patients with diverse orthopedic, neurologic, and musculoskeletal conditions.
• Design personalized treatment plans to restore function, improve mobility, and enhance overall quality of life.
• Educate patients and caregivers to ensure understanding and adherence to therapy protocols.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes and holistic care.
• Participate in clinical education, program development, and quality improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations and develop tailored treatment plans for diverse patient needs.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust therapy plans to ensure effective recovery and goal achievement.
• Supervise Physical Therapist Assistants, students, and support staff to maintain high standards of care.
• Provide hands-on therapy sessions to enhance patient mobility, strength, and independence.
• Document all evaluations, treatments, and progress in compliance with professional standards.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to address care barriers.
• Participate in clinical education programs and share expertise within specialized therapy areas.
• Contribute to process improvement and innovation in outpatient therapy services.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Active Physical Therapist license in the state of practice.
• BLS certification required within three months of employment.
• Minimum of one year of professional experience; three years preferred.
• Proficiency in electronic health records and essential computer applications.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to foster effective patient relationships.
