Nurse Director Perioperative Services

Overview

• Lead perioperative services, ensuring excellence in surgical care and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Provide leadership and oversight for surgical departments, ensuring operational alignment and efficiency.
• Develop and execute strategic plans to advance perioperative services and patient care.
• Manage staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation to optimize department performance.
• Ensure adherence to accreditation, regulatory, and safety standards across surgical units.
• Collaborate with surgeons and nursing staff to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
• Monitor performance metrics and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
• Lead recruitment, retention, and professional development of surgical personnel.
• Oversee capital planning for surgical equipment and technology upgrades.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; advanced certifications preferred.
• Current, unrestricted RN license and certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
• Certified Nurse OR (CNOR) certification preferred for advanced perioperative expertise.
• Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience in surgical nursing; 5 years preferred.
• Proven expertise in managing surgical services and ensuring compliance with standards.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills to drive team success.
• Experience in strategic planning and operational enhancement initiatives.
• Ability to manage budgets, resources, and personnel effectively in a dynamic environment.
