Job Description

Overview

  • Lead accounting and operational functions, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting and operational processes.
  • Collaborate with the CFO to manage fund operations and oversee compliance initiatives.
  • Coordinate with external service providers, including fund administrators and auditors.
  • Optimize operational workflows and implement automation for efficiency improvements.
  • Support financial reporting, NAV calculations, and investor communications.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and assist with filings such as 13F and Form PF.
  • Participate in valuation and compliance committees to uphold operational standards.
  • Drive initiatives to enhance accounting and operational processes through best practices.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Perform daily reconciliations of positions, cash, and P&L with brokers and administrators.
  • Resolve trade breaks and ensure timely settlement of trades.
  • Monitor corporate actions, dividends, and proxies, ensuring accurate processing.
  • Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including financial reporting.
  • Oversee fund administrator deliverables, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Coordinate with external auditors during annual audit processes.
  • Support compliance initiatives and maintain service provider relationships.
  • Participate in operational due diligence and address investor inquiries.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field required.
  • 2-10 years of fund operations or prime brokerage experience preferred.
  • CPA, CFA, or other relevant professional certification is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of hedge fund accounting, NAV reporting, and financial statements.
  • Experience with third-party fund administrators and external auditors.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Eze Eclipse, Bloomberg, and Citco platforms preferred.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a small team environment.
