Operations Analyst Overview
- The Operations Analyst will support post-trade processing for fixed income products, ensuring accurate and timely settlements.
- Collaborate with Trading, Portfolio Management, and external partners to resolve operational issues.
- Maintain a strong control environment while managing trade allocations and confirmations.
- Contribute to process improvements and system enhancements to increase efficiency.
- Monitor daily cash movements and settlement funding requirements.
- Assist with month-end reporting, audit requests, and regulatory activities.
- Participate in business continuity initiatives and maintain procedure documentation.

Operations Analyst Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Support the full post-trade lifecycle for fixed income products, including trade allocations and settlements.
- Perform daily reconciliations for trades, positions, cash, and settlements, resolving discrepancies promptly.
- Monitor settlement activities, managing failed trades and aged exceptions proactively.
- Process lifecycle events such as coupon payments, maturities, and corporate actions.
- Ensure accurate maintenance of security master and static data.
- Execute daily operational controls in adherence to internal policies.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to resolve operational issues effectively.
- Contribute to automation initiatives and process improvement projects.
- Support audit and regulatory reporting requirements as needed.
Operations Analyst Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
- 2–5 years of operations experience with fixed income products in financial services.
- Proficiency in fixed income trade processing, settlement, and reconciliations.
- Familiarity with Treasuries, corporate bonds, repos, and money market instruments.
- Experience interacting with custodians, prime brokers, and counterparties.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; knowledge of Bloomberg, CTM, or SWIFT is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
