Registered Nurse Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as prescribed by healthcare providers.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, documenting changes and reporting to the care team.
• Provide tracheostomy and ventilator care, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Educate families on care plans and medical procedures to ensure continuity of care.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
• Ensure adherence to all safety protocols and infection control measures.

Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and a valid NYS RN license required.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in pediatrics or critical care.
• Experience with tracheostomy and ventilator care is highly desirable; training provided if needed.
• Hospital experience and familiarity with sub-acute care settings are advantageous.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals.
