Job Description

HRIS Analyst Overview

  • The HRIS Analyst will provide technical and operational support for the client’s benefits and HRIS systems, ensuring data accuracy and compliance.
  • This role involves maintaining accurate benefits-related data and supporting system integrations and reporting for efficient HR operations.
  • Collaborate with HR, Payroll, and external vendors to troubleshoot issues and enhance workflows.
  • Provide technical expertise in retirement plan administration, benefits reporting, and data reconciliation.
  • Utilize advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and V-lookups, for data analysis and reporting.
  • Support compliance, operational efficiency, and data accuracy across employee benefit programs.
  • Assist with benefits-related reporting requirements, compliance filings, and internal audits.
  • Engage in system testing, implementations, upgrades, and process improvement initiatives.

HRIS Analyst Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Administer and maintain the technical integrity of benefits systems, ensuring accurate data and system configuration.
  • Coordinate and support file feed integrations between HRIS, Payroll, and benefits vendors for accurate data transmission.
  • Perform regular audits and reconciliations of benefits data to ensure compliance and improve data integrity.
  • Manage paid time off programs, including vacation, sick, and personal leave accruals, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Utilize HRIS and data analytics tools to analyze trends and support strategic decision-making.
  • Assist with payroll-related benefits processing, including deductions, contribution updates, and benefit changes.
  • Partner with internal teams and external vendors to resolve data discrepancies and improve workflows.
  • Maintain documentation related to benefits systems, integrations, and reporting processes.

HRIS Analyst Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in HRIS, benefits administration, or a related HR operations role.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and V-lookups.
  • Experience with HRIS systems, payroll processes, and benefits administration platforms.
  • Strong technical aptitude and analytical skills for managing large datasets and identifying discrepancies.
  • Preferred certifications: PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, CEBS, or CBP.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
