Systems Engineer Overview

• The Systems Engineer role involves providing advanced technical support and solutions to meet client needs effectively.
• Collaborate with clients to diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues promptly.
• Ensure client satisfaction through proactive communication and exceptional service delivery.
• Maintain and manage IT systems, including Azure, Microsoft Intune, and Jamf platforms.
• Provide support for video conferencing systems and audio/video equipment management.
• Document technical processes and maintain accurate system records for future reference.
• Support onboarding and offboarding processes, including device setup and configuration.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of service desk operations and client satisfaction.

Systems Engineer Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Respond to Level 2/3 service requests and escalate issues as necessary.
• Configure and deploy systems using Microsoft Intune and Jamf platforms.
• Administer and troubleshoot DNS, DHCP, and general networking issues.
• Provide deskside support for conferencing systems, printers, and peripherals.
• Manage asset inventory and maintain accurate documentation for IT systems.
• Develop and enforce Azure Conditional Access Policies for enhanced security.
• Support and manage AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, and Copilot.
• Collaborate with team members to improve service delivery and technical solutions.

Systems Engineer Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field required.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in IT support; 10 years preferred.
• Proficiency in Windows and MacOS operating systems and networking troubleshooting.
• Experience with Microsoft Intune, Jamf, Azure, and M365 platforms.
• Certifications such as AZ-104, AZ-305, and CCNA are highly desirable.
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client interaction.
