Credit Portfolio Transaction Management Overview

  • The Credit Portfolio Transaction Management role involves monitoring and managing issuer-level data within a diverse portfolio.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Portfolio Management to ensure data accuracy and compliance across lending portfolios.
  • Support quarterly valuations and lender calls, preparing detailed financial summaries and performance updates.
  • Develop expertise in credit analysis and portfolio management, with growth opportunities within the firm.
  • Utilize a data-first approach to ensure structured and reliable information for decision-making.
  • Work in a hybrid environment that balances flexibility with collaboration.

Credit Portfolio Transaction Management Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Monitor issuer-level data, ensuring accuracy and completeness in portfolio management systems.
  • Onboard new credits, capturing deal terms, financial covenants, and reporting obligations.
  • Build and maintain borrower compliance calendars, mapping deadlines and schedules.
  • Track and test financial maintenance covenants, ensuring compliance with agreement thresholds.
  • Prepare issuer-level performance summaries and support quarterly valuation cycles.
  • Coordinate outsourced vendor teams, reviewing deliverables for accuracy and completeness.
  • Participate in lender calls, capturing key takeaways and distributing post-call summaries.
  • Maintain the firm’s credit scorecard, updating data based on financial performance and developments.
  • Support coordination between portfolio management and deal teams on credit developments.

Credit Portfolio Transaction Management Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field required.
  • 3–5 years of experience in private credit, direct lending, or related functions preferred.
  • Foundational understanding of credit agreements, financial covenants, and borrower financial statements.
  • Strong financial statement analysis skills and ability to spread borrower financials accurately.
  • Adaptable and growth-oriented, with ambition to develop into broader portfolio management roles.
  • Experience with portfolio management systems in private credit or direct lending contexts is a plus.
  • Ability to direct and coordinate support staff or offshore vendor teams effectively.
  • High organizational capacity to manage multiple issuer relationships and deadlines.
  • Comfortable participating in lender calls and preparing supporting materials.
