Infusion Nurse Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Administer IV infusion therapies and specialty medications with precision and care.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments before, during, and after treatments.
• Initiate and maintain IV access, ensuring proper technique and patient comfort.
• Monitor patients for adverse reactions and provide timely interventions as needed.
• Educate patients on treatment plans, medication usage, and follow-up care.
• Maintain accurate and detailed documentation within the electronic medical record system.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers and clinical teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Adhere to safety protocols and standards to ensure patient and staff well-being.

Infusion Nurse Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required, with strong IV insertion and infusion experience.
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience; 3 years preferred.
• Experience in infusion, oncology, ICU, ED, rheumatology, GI, or ambulatory care highly preferred.
• Master of Science in Nursing degree required.
• Excellent communication, assessment, and patient-care skills essential.
• Ability to work on-site with a consistent Monday-Thursday schedule and occasional Saturday shifts.
• Proficiency in electronic medical record systems and documentation processes.
• Commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-focused care in an outpatient setting.
