Electrical Engineer Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Lead electrical system design from concept through construction phases.
- Prepare and review drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Perform load calculations, lighting design, and system layout for projects.
- Coordinate with mechanical, civil, and architectural teams for seamless integration.
- Serve as Engineer of Record and ensure compliance with codes and standards.
- Review shop drawings, RFIs, and submittals during construction phases.
- Conduct site visits and provide construction administration support.
- Mentor junior engineers and foster professional development within the team.
Electrical Engineer Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field required.
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license, Pennsylvania preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in electrical design; consulting experience preferred.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and SKM/ETAP design tools.
- Strong knowledge of NEC and relevant building codes.
- Experience with commercial, healthcare, and industrial projects preferred.
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
