Forward Deployed Engineer Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Develop analytical dashboards and user-facing applications using advanced application layers.
• Build and maintain data pipelines, transformations, and metrics within the platform.
• Support CI/CD processes, including automated testing and deployment workflows.
• Apply ontology concepts to create consistent and reusable data-driven functionality.
• Translate technical requirements into well-designed software features and write clean, maintainable code.
• Perform functional testing, data validation, and troubleshooting to ensure application reliability.
• Identify technical risks and blockers, collaborating with senior engineers for resolution.
• Participate in agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, reviews, and demonstrations.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and project artifacts.

Forward Deployed Engineer Job Requirements

• Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum 2 years of professional software engineering experience, with 5 years preferred.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, TypeScript, or Java.
• Experience with Palantir Foundry, including Workshop/Slate, pipelines, and Ontology.
• Familiarity with cloud-based environments for application or data solution development.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
• Comfortable working in a small, collaborative, and fast-paced engineering environment.
• Ability to work effectively with senior technical personnel and cross-functional teams.
• Experience supporting government, defense, or classified programs is a plus.
