Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Develop and implement business development strategies aligned with litigation and M&A goals.
- Support partners in maintaining communication with referral sources and prospective clients.
- Identify strategic sponsorships and new business opportunities tailored to practice objectives.
- Lead the creation of high-quality pitches, proposals, and marketing collateral.
- Collaborate with communications and events teams to enhance practice visibility.
- Guide junior team members in developing their skills and executing BD initiatives.
- Ensure timely updates to marketing materials and maintain accurate BD records.
- Leverage competitive intelligence to support practice positioning and client development.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required; JD, MBA, or other applicable graduate degree preferred.
- Seven+ years of business development experience in a law firm or professional services environment.
- Strong understanding of litigation lifecycle, terminology, and regulatory environments.
- Proficiency in CRM, research platforms, and standard office applications.
- Excellent writing, editing, analytical, and organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple time-sensitive requests and deliver quality work in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience preparing pitches, proposals, and legal directory submissions.
- Strong interpersonal skills and professionalism when interacting with senior lawyers and staff.
