Corporate Controller Overview

• The Corporate Controller will lead the accounting organization, ensuring financial integrity and supporting strategic growth initiatives.
• Collaborate with executive leadership to drive financial planning, budgeting, and operational decision-making processes.
• Oversee financial reporting, accounting operations, and compliance with GAAP regulations across multiple locations.
• Develop and mentor accounting team members, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Improve working capital performance by optimizing accounts receivable and accounts payable operations.
• Identify and implement process improvements, automation initiatives, and financial system enhancements.
• Support mergers, acquisitions, integrations, and other strategic growth initiatives.
• Build strong partnerships with operational leaders to enhance organizational financial performance.
• Maintain professional standards while promoting health and safety culture within the organization.

Corporate Controller Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Lead the accounting organization, including financial reporting, accounts payable, and accounts receivable functions.
• Coach and mentor accounting team members to achieve high performance and collaboration.
• Oversee monthly and year-end close processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Serve as the primary liaison with external auditors and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Develop and implement KPIs, dashboards, and financial metrics for actionable insights.
• Identify and execute process improvements and automation initiatives for efficiency.
• Support strategic growth initiatives, including mergers, acquisitions, and integrations.
• Partner with operational leaders to strengthen financial performance across the organization.
• Promote a professional appearance and uphold the organization's health and safety standards.

Corporate Controller Job Requirements

• Bachelor of Science (BS) in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, with 15 years preferred.
• Proven leadership experience at the director level or higher in accounting or finance.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP regulations and financial reporting standards.
• Experience with process improvement, automation, and financial system enhancements.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for partnering with executive leadership.
• Ability to manage multiple locations and oversee complex accounting operations.
• Proficiency in developing KPIs, dashboards, and actionable financial metrics.
