Superintendent Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Manage daily operations of construction sites, ensuring adherence to project schedules and budgets.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to maintain project timelines and quality standards.
  • Monitor safety protocols and compliance with regulatory requirements on-site.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure construction quality and adherence to specifications.
  • Facilitate communication between project stakeholders, including clients and design teams.
  • Prepare and present progress reports to senior management and clients.
  • Resolve construction challenges and implement solutions to maintain project momentum.
  • Support the development and mentoring of junior team members on-site.

Superintendent Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in construction management or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction project management; 10 years preferred.
  • Proven expertise in managing large-scale projects exceeding $30M in value.
  • Strong knowledge of CM at Risk and Design Build methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to manage diverse teams effectively.
