Procurement Specialist Overview

  • The Procurement Specialist role offers a dynamic opportunity to support procurement operations and supplier onboarding processes within a hybrid work environment.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure efficient supplier registration and onboarding processes.
  • Manage Purchase Requisition and PO Change Order processes, ensuring accurate data input and compliance with SLAs.
  • Serve as the point of contact for inquiries related to supplier onboarding and procurement processes.
  • Drive adoption and optimize system utilization through continuous process improvement initiatives.
  • Provide timely customer service and training to enhance onboarding and procurement operations.
  • Support supplier inquiries and resolve issues related to procurement processes and onboarding.
  • Monitor supplier onboarding communications and respond promptly to inquiries for improved service.
  • Track and organize inquiries, communicating themes to drive process improvements.

Procurement Specialist Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Process new and mid-contract requests in collaboration with business leads and suppliers.
  • Communicate with stakeholders across Procurement, Legal, Finance, IT, and Accounts Payable teams.
  • Ensure supplier registration and onboarding responsibilities are completed efficiently.
  • Manage Purchase Requisition and PO Change Order processes with accurate data input.
  • Act as the primary contact for supplier onboarding and P2P process inquiries.
  • Maintain compliance with SLAs for supplier onboarding and procurement workflows.
  • Engage with stakeholders to optimize system utilization and drive process improvements.
  • Provide training to business functions to improve procurement processes.
  • Monitor and respond to supplier inquiries, ensuring timely resolution of issues.

Procurement Specialist Job Requirements

  • Associate of Arts (AA) degree or equivalent educational background required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement or related field; 4 years preferred.
  • Proficiency in procurement systems and supplier onboarding processes.
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage and monitor procurement workflows and ensure compliance with SLAs.
  • Experience in driving process improvements and optimizing system utilization.
  • Competence in handling supplier inquiries and resolving procurement-related issues.
  • Strong organizational skills to track and manage supplier onboarding processes.
