Supervisor, Fund Accounting – Private Assets Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Oversee preparation of Net Asset Value calculations, financial statements, and partner/shareholder allocations for private equity funds.
  • Review fund-specific expenses, including administration fees, management fees, and carried interest calculations.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, external standards, and regulatory requirements in all operations.
  • Coordinate with global teams on investor relations, tax, financial reporting, and audit processes.
  • Act as the primary contact for clients and fund participants, addressing inquiries and providing technical expertise.
  • Supervise and mentor team members, ensuring high-quality deliverables and adherence to service level agreements.
  • Implement efficiency initiatives and generate ad hoc reports to support operational improvements.
  • Review partnership agreements and other fund documentation to ensure accurate accounting practices.

Supervisor, Fund Accounting – Private Assets Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field; CPA or equivalent designation preferred.
  • Minimum of 4 years of fund accounting experience, preferably in private equity or financial institutions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel; experience with FIS Investran PE accounting platform is desirable.
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with a proven ability to manage and mentor teams effectively.
  • Excellent project management skills, attention to detail, and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Sound judgment, analytical skills, and problem-solving capabilities to address complex accounting issues.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact effectively with clients and stakeholders.
  • Flexibility to work in a hybrid environment, combining remote and on-site responsibilities.
