Customer Service Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Provide empathetic and professional service to participants through various communication channels including phone, email, and in-person interactions.
- Address participant inquiries regarding eligibility, benefits, claims, and plan-related matters with accuracy and clarity.
- Research and resolve participant concerns, ensuring effective solutions and timely responses.
- Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and external partners to coordinate eligibility updates and resolve issues.
- Assist participants with enrollment processes, forms, and navigating online resources.
- Maintain accurate documentation of participant interactions and ensure clear records are kept.
- Escalate complex concerns to appropriate team members for additional assistance when needed.
- Participate in special projects and contribute to team initiatives as required.
Customer Service Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required; additional certifications in customer service or healthcare are advantageous.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in customer service, receptionist, or scheduler roles.
- Preferred experience in TPA, insurance carrier, or healthcare-related positions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and typing speed of at least 40 words per minute.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage challenging situations with professionalism and a positive demeanor.
- Demonstrated initiative and a genuine desire to serve others and learn.
- Dependability and flexibility to adapt to potential schedule changes, including occasional Saturdays.
