Pharmacy Technician Overview
- The Pharmacy Technician will provide medication counseling and assistance to ensure proper adherence and minimize treatment gaps.
- Collaborate remotely with pharmacists, providers, and community partners to optimize member medication management.
- Work flexible hours, including occasional Saturdays, with a day off during the week.
- Engage in telephonic communication with members and providers to address medication-related issues.
- Perform health assessments to identify barriers to medication adherence and develop solutions.
- Facilitate access to medications by coordinating refills, new prescriptions, and financial assistance.
- Document care delivered and communicate treatment plans effectively to all stakeholders.
- Bilingual Spanish skills are essential for effective communication with diverse members.
Pharmacy Technician Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Perform medication list reviews to eliminate therapy barriers and ensure adherence.
- Act as a Pharmacy Navigator to achieve proper medication adherence and prevent adverse events.
- Facilitate member access to medications by coordinating refills and addressing financial issues.
- Partner with pharmacists and providers to communicate treatment plans and integrate interventions.
- Monitor member medication adherence through collaboration with community pharmacies.
- Conduct health assessments to identify barriers to medication adherence and develop solutions.

Pharmacy Technician Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution is required.
- Nationally certified Pharmacy Technician or registered/licensed Pharmacy Technician in good standing.
- Experience communicating with patients, providers, and pharmacists on medication-related issues.
- Bilingual Spanish skills are mandatory for effective communication.
- Medication Therapy Management Certificate is preferred.
- Stable work history with a consistent employment record is highly valued.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional Saturdays, with a day off during the week.
