Benefits Manager Overview

  • The Benefits Manager will oversee benefits administration and strategic support across US and Canadian employee populations.
  • This role involves high visibility within the organization and direct collaboration with Total Rewards leadership.
  • Manage health, welfare, and retirement plans, ensuring compliance and accuracy throughout the employee lifecycle.
  • Administer wellness programs, reconcile funding and contributions, and address discrepancies with payroll and vendors.
  • Support open enrollment processes, including planning, system configuration, and post-enrollment audits.
  • Maintain benefits data integrity in HRIS systems and produce analytics for leadership review.
  • Ensure compliance with ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, and Canadian provincial regulations.
  • Collaborate with vendors on escalations, billing reconciliation, and plan performance improvements.

Benefits Manager Job Requirements

  • 4–6 years of experience in benefits administration, preferably in financial services or regulated environments.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems like UKG and benefits carrier management.
  • Knowledge of US benefits compliance; Canadian benefits experience is advantageous.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities accurately.
  • Financial acumen for reconciling data sets and resolving discrepancies.
