Registered Nurse Overview

• Manages scheduling, delegation, and mentoring of care team staff effectively.

• Supports clinical operations through inventory management and preparation of materials.
• Documents patient progress and care interventions accurately in electronic health records.

Registered Nurse Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Supervise Licensed Practical Nurses and Medical Assistants, ensuring adherence to clinical standards.
• Manage care team schedules, PTO requests, and daily operations efficiently.
• Delegate tasks appropriately and ensure completion within scope of licensure.
• Provide nursing care, administer medications, and coordinate patient interventions.
• Conduct daily huddles, review patient charts, and manage clinical supplies.
• Assist physicians during patient examinations and treatments.
• Ensure compliance with infection control, safety, and confidentiality policies.
• Document patient care activities and progress notes accurately in EHR.

Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution required.
• Current, unrestricted licensure in New York State as a Registered Nurse required.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in hospital or ambulatory settings required.
• Knowledge of nursing theory, regulations, and practices essential for patient care.
• Proficiency in managing clinical operations and inventory effectively.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Strong communication skills to interact with patients and team members effectively.
• Ability to work independently, make clinical decisions, and delegate tasks appropriately.
