Fund Accounting Supervisor Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Manage accounting and operations for multiple client engagements independently.
  • Supervise a team of accountants and coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless operations.
  • Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements for accuracy and compliance.
  • Oversee client deliverables, including capital calls, distributions, and investor notices.
  • Maintain effective communication with clients, auditors, tax teams, and other stakeholders.
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide mentorship to team members for career development.
  • Ensure adherence to organizational policies and procedures across all team activities.

Fund Accounting Supervisor Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in private equity, fund administration, or investment accounting.
  • At least 2 years of supervisory experience managing accounting teams.
  • Proficiency in US GAAP and Investment Company Accounting principles.
  • Strong knowledge of waterfall allocation models and fund governing agreements.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Word for financial analysis and reporting.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multitask under strict deadlines.
