Behavioral Health Nurse Practitioner Overview

  • The Behavioral Health Nurse Practitioner provides specialized psychiatric care to patients, ensuring high-quality, patient-centered treatment.
  • Work Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm, with no call or weekend shifts required.
  • Collaborate with an engaged medical director and multidisciplinary team in state-of-the-art facilities.
  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Prescribe medications and monitor patient progress, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Educate patients and families about mental health conditions and available treatment options.

Behavioral Health Nurse Practitioner Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in psychiatric care; 5 years preferred.
  • MCSR and DEA licenses required for prescribing medications.
  • Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems and healthcare technology.
