Total Return Swap Operations Overview

  • The Total Return Swap Operations role focuses on managing trade lifecycle events across diverse asset classes, emphasizing Total Return Swaps.
  • Collaborate with Trading, Fund Accounting, Technology, and Risk teams to ensure seamless operations and accurate trade processing.
  • Resolve trade discrepancies across multiple swap counterparties, ensuring timely and precise issue resolution.
  • Perform daily transaction, position, and cash reconciliations for TRS products using Geneva systems.
  • Support swap resets, trade bookings, corporate action processing, and P&L inquiries effectively.
  • Identify process gaps and collaborate with stakeholders to implement solutions that streamline workflows.
  • Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices to develop effective operational policies and procedures.

Total Return Swap Operations Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Manage trade lifecycle events, focusing on Total Return Swaps, and ensure accurate trade processing.
  • Resolve trade breaks across swap counterparties, collaborating with front office and operations teams.
  • Perform daily reconciliations for transactions, positions, and cash using Geneva systems.
  • Support swap resets, trade bookings, and corporate action processing while addressing P&L inquiries.
  • Identify and address process gaps, implementing solutions to minimize operational risks.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.

Total Return Swap Operations Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a related field is required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience, with 5 years preferred in fund or trade operations.
  • Knowledge of Geneva systems and financial instruments such as equities, fixed income, and swaps.
