Registered Nurse Overview

Registered Nurse Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Conduct thorough physical assessments to evaluate patient health status and needs.
• Supervise and evaluate the care provided to patients, ensuring adherence to care plans.
• Perform preventive and rehabilitative nursing procedures to support patient recovery and well-being.
• Observe and document patient conditions, reporting any changes to the healthcare provider promptly.
• Educate and counsel patients and their families on health management and care strategies.
• Participate in care planning conferences to develop and review patient care plans.
• Complete all required documentation accurately and within established timelines.
• Provide orientation and training to aides, ensuring quality care delivery.

Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Nursing or equivalent required.
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience, with 2 years preferred.
• Experience with dementia or tuberculosis patients is advantageous.
• Ability to work in a field setting, including traveling to patient locations.
• Strong documentation and patient care planning skills.
• Comfortable conducting supervision visits and training sessions for aides.
• Preferred experience with Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) practices.
