Senior Manager of Supply Chain Overview

  • The Senior Manager of Supply Chain oversees strategic and operational leadership for warehouse operations, materials management, and supply planning.
  • Drive operational readiness for a new manufacturing facility startup, ensuring compliance and efficiency in supply chain processes.
  • Lead efforts in digital capabilities adoption, including ERP systems and digital planning tools, supporting a "digital first" philosophy.
  • Collaborate with regional and global governance bodies to ensure reliable and compliant supply chain operations.
  • Develop and implement inventory management strategies to balance availability goals and minimize risks.
  • Ensure inspection readiness for audits and regulatory compliance across warehouse and supply chain activities.
  • Support greenfield activities for onboarding supply chain operations, ensuring alignment with company standards.
  • Promote a high-performing team culture focused on continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Senior Manager of Supply Chain Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Establish and lead GMP-compliant warehouse and materials management operations, ensuring regulatory compliance and efficiency.
  • Develop and oversee warehouse operations, including receiving, shipping, internal material movements, and safety programs.
  • Govern production schedules, prioritization logic, and process controls to achieve revenue and customer service goals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve capacity constraints and optimize manufacturing processes.
  • Implement inventory management strategies to minimize risks and support revenue growth.
  • Drive communication with suppliers and stakeholders to mitigate supply risks and ensure continuity of operations.
  • Lead ERP system updates and enhancements, optimizing business process flows and ensuring user adoption.
  • Monitor and improve business performance metrics to achieve best-in-class operations.

Senior Manager of Supply Chain Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field required.
  • 5-8 years of experience in supply chain management within life sciences or regulated industries preferred.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems, with experience in Microsoft D365 being advantageous.
  • Knowledge of GMP, GDP, and regulatory compliance standards for warehouse operations.
  • Experience in continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma and Kaizen.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a matrixed, diverse-culture environment and promote team development.
  • Willingness to work on-site and travel domestically and internationally up to 10%.
