Medical Planner Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Lead medical planning processes for complex projects with clients and design teams.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project alignment with healthcare regulations.
- Manage client expectations and oversee consultant coordination for project documentation.
- Resolve technical and design issues to produce innovative, constructible solutions.
- Engage in public speaking and foster strong client relationships.
- Utilize software tools like Revit, AutoCAD, and SketchUp for project modeling.
- Contribute to master planning and strategic facility planning initiatives.
- Participate in Lean-focused operational improvement processes to enhance project outcomes.
Medical Planner Job Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or related field is required; Master's Degree preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of healthcare design industry experience; 10 years preferred.
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations, including FGI for Inpatient and Outpatient Facilities.
- Experience with CON processes and Lean-focused operational improvement.
- ACHA, Lean, and/or EDAC Certification is a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with client relationship management expertise.
- Flexibility to focus on concurrent projects in various development stages.
