Infusion Nurse Practitioner Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Perform comprehensive patient evaluations to determine suitability for infusion treatments.
• Administer infusion therapies and monitor patient responses during and post-treatment.
• Manage vascular access and ensure proper administration of infusion medications.
• Educate patients and families about infusion procedures and safety protocols.
• Coordinate with healthcare providers to ensure seamless patient care delivery.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and treatment outcomes.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance infusion services.
• Adhere to regulatory standards and guidelines for outpatient infusion practices.

Infusion Nurse Practitioner Job Requirements

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) and active Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) license.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in infusion therapy; 3 years preferred.
• Proficiency in IV therapy, vascular access, and managing adverse reactions.
• Flexibility to work across multiple locations and schedules within NYC.
• Ability to work one Saturday per month, with optional overtime availability.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for patient and team interactions.
• Commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in an outpatient setting.
• Experience in home infusion therapy is acceptable but not mandatory.
