Senior Corporate Accountant Overview

  • The Senior Corporate Accountant will play a pivotal role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger.
  • Collaborate with the Accounting Manager and Finance team to execute monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
  • Contribute to financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Engage in accounting-related technology projects, including system upgrades and implementations.
  • Work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment that values collaboration and excellence.
  • Provide detailed analysis and documentation to support financial transactions and reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal controls while managing audit requests.

Senior Corporate Accountant Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Prepare and post journal entries across general ledger accounts with accuracy and completeness.
  • Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Execute components of financial close processes, including financial statement preparation.
  • Collaborate on budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning and analysis activities.
  • Maintain accounting records and resolve system-related issues within ERP platforms.
  • Identify opportunities to automate and enhance accounting processes and controls.
  • Conduct research on financial inquiries and provide supporting analysis.
  • Support internal and external audit requests with detailed documentation.

Senior Corporate Accountant Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required.
  • 4-7 years of experience in general ledger or corporate accounting preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems, preferably NetSuite, and advanced Excel skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and proactive problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
