Project Architect Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Lead architectural production from schematic design through construction administration phases.
- Translate design concepts into detailed, technically sound construction documents.
- Ensure compliance with building codes, accessibility regulations, and industry standards.
- Coordinate with consultants, engineers, vendors, and clients for seamless project integration.
- Mentor junior staff in technical guidance, documentation standards, and best practices.
- Perform quality control checks and technical reviews on drawing packages.
- Respond to RFIs, review submittals, and support construction administration activities.
- Participate in client meetings and presentations related to technical deliverables.
Project Architect Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch) required.
- Architectural license preferred; licensure in progress strongly encouraged.
- 6–10 years of professional experience, including construction documentation leadership.
- Advanced proficiency in Revit and BIM workflows essential.
- Strong knowledge of building codes, detailing standards, and construction methods.
- Experience with complex commercial or institutional projects preferred.
- Proficiency in Bluebeam, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office advantageous.
