Quality Assurance Application Analyst Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Develop and execute test plans, cases, and strategies for application deployments and upgrades.
• Perform compatibility, functional, regression, and user acceptance testing for enterprise applications.
• Validate application packages and ensure proper installation and configuration settings.
• Collaborate with teams to resolve software defects and deployment issues effectively.
• Conduct root-cause analysis to address production-impacting application concerns.
• Maintain detailed documentation of testing procedures, defects, and release-validation activities.
• Support application deployments using tools like Microsoft Configuration Manager and Intune.
• Monitor post-release application behavior and document corrective actions as necessary.
• Ensure compliance with organizational standards for change control and cybersecurity.

Quality Assurance Application Analyst Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of three years of experience in application QA/testing or application analysis.
• Proficiency in defect-tracking tools like Jira, Azure DevOps, or ServiceNow.
• Knowledge of application packaging technologies such as MSI, MSIX, and IntuneWin32.
• Experience with endpoint deployment tools like Microsoft Configuration Manager and Intune.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and traditional SDLC processes.
• Preferred certifications: ITIL 4 Foundation, ISTQB Certified Tester, Agile or Scrum certification.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a remote environment with cross-functional teams.
