Applications Engineer Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Develop and maintain automated interfaces using APIs and file-based feeds.
• Create tools for data validation and exception reporting to ensure data accuracy.
• Collaborate with portfolio management and operations teams to define technical requirements.
• Assist in the regression testing of credit instrument workflows during system upgrades.
• Document conventions for instrument setup and operational runbooks.
• Support WSO end-users with technical and functional assistance.
• Partner with data engineering teams to integrate instrument data into reporting layers.
• Ensure compliance with structured release management and CI/CD pipelines.

Applications Engineer Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Finance, Engineering, or related field.
• 1-3 years of experience with credit portfolio management platforms.
• Proficiency in SQL and SQL Server development.
• Experience with Python or C# for automation and interface development.
• Knowledge of credit instruments such as syndicated loans and structured credit.
• Familiarity with API-based and file-based system integration.
• Understanding of credit portfolio reporting requirements and compliance tests.
• Preferred experience with WSO and other credit platforms like Allvue Everest or Solvas.
