Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Greet patients and escort them to exam rooms, obtaining clinical information and vital signs.
• Perform phlebotomy, administer injections, and assist physicians during exams and procedures.
• Document patient interactions and medical records accurately, ensuring compliance with practice policies.
• Manage patient calls, including pharmacy inquiries, and provide timely responses.
• Sterilize instruments, maintain exam room cleanliness, and stock supplies as needed.
• Assist with non-stress tests (NSTs), ultrasounds, and other clinical procedures.
• Distribute educational materials to patients and support clerical duties as required.
• Attend staff meetings and contribute to discussions on improving clinical practices.

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Job Requirements

• Completion of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) training program.
• Minimum of 1 year of medical experience, preferably in an OB/GYN setting.
• Certification in IV insertions and proficiency in phlebotomy techniques.
• High School Diploma or GED required for eligibility.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential.
• Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment.
