International Tax Manager Overview
- The International Tax Manager will lead global tax strategies and compliance efforts for the client.
- Identify tax savings opportunities and provide strategic planning to enhance client engagements.
- Collaborate with senior management to resolve IRS and international tax authority audits effectively.
- Maintain expertise in international tax laws, OECD developments, and emerging global trends.
- Prepare and review complex U.S. and multi-state/international income tax returns for diverse entities.
- Contribute to business development efforts by evaluating client needs and preparing proposals.
- Provide training and career guidance to staff while ensuring high-quality deliverables.
- Engage in consulting and special projects to support management and clients.

International Tax Manager Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Lead tax planning initiatives to identify savings opportunities for clients.
- Prepare and review tax returns, extensions, and planning calculations for various entities.
- Conduct complex international tax research and draft detailed memoranda.
- Communicate with IRS and state agencies on audits and inquiries.
- Delegate projects effectively and provide support to staff as needed.
- Assist with business development by preparing fee quotes and proposals.
- Train new hires and provide ongoing employee development guidance.
- Engage in consulting and special projects as requested by management.
- Report directly to the Partners of the international tax department.
International Tax Manager Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or related field.
- CPA or EA certification is required.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in public accounting with exposure to diverse taxation areas.
- Proven expertise in international tax law and global compliance strategies.
- Strong communication skills for client and regulatory interactions.
- Experience in managing and mentoring staff effectively.
- Proficiency in tax software and workflow processes.
