Senior Planner, Materials Management Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Develop and execute material plans to support manufacturing schedules and MRP requirements.
- Create and manage purchase requisitions and orders for direct materials.
- Maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) and optimize inventory parameters for reliable supply.
- Monitor SAP transactions to ensure inventory accuracy and continuity of supply.
- Collaborate with suppliers to resolve invoice and supply issues effectively.
- Support scenario planning and reporting to enhance material management strategies.
- Coordinate with internal and external teams to manage specialty raw materials.

Senior Planner, Materials Management Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or related field is required.
- 4–7 years of experience in supply chain planning or materials management in regulated industries.
- Proficiency in SAP, Power BI, and advanced Excel tools, including VBA and macros.
- Knowledge of GMP principles and pharmaceutical or biotech manufacturing processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage risk effectively.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work across functions.
- Preferred certifications include Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt and APICS.
- Adaptable and detail-oriented approach to managing complex supply chain scenarios.
