Assistant Program Director Overview
- The Assistant Program Director oversees the operations of the Article 31 clinic program at the assigned location.
- Provides direct social work services, including crisis intervention, individual, family, and group counseling.
- Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to complete psychosocial evaluations and treatment/shared care plans.
- Assists in implementing OMH and other regulatory guidelines to ensure compliance.
- Participates in quality assurance and continuous quality improvement activities.
- Provides clinical supervision for staff and students, ensuring professional growth and development.
- Analyzes and evaluates performance metrics to enhance team effectiveness.
- Oversees orientation and training programs for new staff members.

Assistant Program Director Job Requirements
- Master’s degree in social work or a related field is required.
- NYS licensure as LCSW or LCSW-R is mandatory.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is essential.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- Ability to analyze and interpret data from multiple sources effectively.
- Supervisory experience in healthcare settings, preferably in multi-site ambulatory care.
- Bilingual fluency in Spanish is preferred but not required.
