• The Project Architect will lead design and documentation processes for diverse projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client expectations.
• Collaborate with senior project managers and team members to deliver high-quality architectural solutions.
• Utilize advanced software tools like Revit, AutoCAD, and Photoshop for design and documentation tasks.
• Conduct thorough code reviews and ensure adherence to accessibility standards and building regulations.
• Engage in construction administration activities, including attending meetings and documenting progress.
• Develop graphic presentation materials to effectively communicate design concepts to clients and stakeholders.
• Maintain organized project files and adhere to drafting and graphic standards set by the client.
• Contribute to the development of innovative architectural solutions for commercial, residential, and senior living projects.

Project Architect Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Lead the preparation of schematic designs and construction documents under senior management supervision.
• Coordinate with clients and consultants to ensure project requirements are met effectively.
• Conduct thorough code reviews and integrate green criteria into project designs.
• Supervise interns and junior staff in drafting and documentation tasks.
• Attend project meetings, document discussions, and follow up on action items.
• Ensure compliance with accessibility standards and building codes throughout project phases.
• Develop presentation materials to effectively communicate design concepts to stakeholders.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.

Project Architect Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited program meeting NCARB licensing criteria.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience, preferably 7, in architectural design and documentation.
• Licensed architect with strong knowledge of building systems and construction assembly types.
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Photoshop for design and documentation tasks.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills to manage projects effectively.
• Experience with construction administration and client-consultant coordination.
• Ability to conduct thorough code reviews and integrate accessibility standards into designs.
• Strong understanding of architectural materials, products, and green building criteria.
