Controller Overview

• The Controller role oversees general accounting operations, financial analysis, and consolidation processes, ensuring accurate financial reporting and safeguarding organizational assets.
• Drive strategic projects supporting business objectives and operational excellence, collaborating with cross-functional teams for impactful results.
• Lead global cash management, investment oversight, and liquidity analysis, ensuring compliance with policies and risk guidelines.
• Utilize advanced AI-enabled tools, including Microsoft Copilot, to automate workflows and enhance finance process efficiency.
• Recruit, mentor, and develop accounting staff, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous learning.
• Coordinate with auditors to support audit activities and implement process improvements effectively.
• Prepare timely and accurate analyses to support strategic decision-making by senior management.
• Participate in the annual budget process, partnering with finance leadership to achieve organizational goals.

Controller Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Lead corporate general accounting functions, ensuring compliance with policies and standards for accurate financial reporting.
• Oversee accounting operations at subsidiary locations, promoting adherence to corporate guidelines and procedures.
• Manage consolidated cash flow preparation and monthly financial close processes aligned with US GAAP.
• Develop and interpret Power BI dashboards and analytics to support management decision-making.
• Enhance productivity and automate workflows using Microsoft Copilot and other AI-enabled tools.
• Provide leadership in recruiting, mentoring, and training accounting staff for high performance and development.
• Establish and improve departmental processes, policies, and procedures for compliance and efficiency.
• Support audit activities and implement recommendations for process enhancements.
• Contribute to special projects and initiatives that align with organizational objectives.

Controller Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting required; CPA or MBA preferred.
• Minimum 8 years of accounting experience, with 12 years preferred, including leadership roles.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Proficiency in Power BI for dashboard development and financial analytics interpretation.
• Experience with AI-enabled tools like Microsoft Copilot to improve finance processes.
• Strong knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, for effective collaboration.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate teams, fostering a culture of excellence.
• Experience managing audits and implementing process improvements successfully.
