Project Manager Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Manage all phases of construction projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and financial performance.
- Lead subcontractor selection, contract negotiation, and buyout processes.
- Coordinate with field leadership to ensure project alignment on schedule, safety, and quality.
- Review and process submittals, RFIs, change orders, and pay applications.
- Track project costs and proactively manage risks and potential issues.
- Lead project meetings and provide regular updates to internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with contract documents, safety standards, and company procedures.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, and key stakeholders.
Project Manager Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in commercial construction project management.
- Proven ability to manage ground-up and renovation projects effectively.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, contracts, and project financials.
- Experience with project management software such as Procore or similar tools.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
