Technology Associate Overview

  • The Technology Associate role focuses on implementing AI and technology solutions to enhance operational efficiency across the client and its portfolio companies.
  • Collaborate with investment and management teams to identify opportunities for leveraging AI tools and automation platforms.
  • Drive impactful technology initiatives, including workflow automation, data integration, and AI-enabled research tools.
  • Contribute to a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with significant exposure to leadership and decision-making processes.
  • Utilize cutting-edge technologies, including LLMs and AI agents, to solve real-world business challenges.
  • Develop scalable solutions for portfolio companies to optimize operations and integrate systems post-acquisition.
  • Support the firm's growth strategy by implementing innovative technology solutions and maintaining high data security standards.
  • Work in a hybrid environment with four days onsite, fostering collaboration and innovation.

Technology Associate Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Conduct sector and market analysis to identify opportunities for AI-driven efficiency improvements.
  • Develop and maintain AI-enabled workflows for sourcing, screening, and research tasks.
  • Automate firm-wide workflows, including CRM systems, investor relations, and portfolio reporting.
  • Collaborate with portfolio management teams to implement technology solutions that enhance scalability and margins.
  • Evaluate and deploy AI tools, ensuring secure data handling and compliance with standards.
  • Train team members on new tools and document systems for durability and ease of use.
  • Stay updated on advancements in AI technologies and recommend innovative solutions to the team.
  • Manage third-party technology vendors, including contract negotiation and implementation oversight.

Technology Associate Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a related technical field.
  • 2–4 years of professional experience in software engineering, data engineering, or technical consulting.
  • Proficiency in Python and SQL, with hands-on experience using LLM APIs and AI tools.
  • Experience with workflow automation, data integration, and business intelligence tools.
  • Ability to translate business problems into technical solutions and explain tradeoffs to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Sound judgment in handling confidential financial, investor, and company data.
  • Self-starter comfortable with ambiguity and capable of owning projects end-to-end.
  • Based in Chicago, IL or New York, NY, with willingness to work onsite four days a week.
