HVAC Designer Overview
- The HVAC Designer will lead engineering production and provide guidance across various trades within the field of expertise.
- Collaborate on mission-critical, healthcare, corporate interiors, retail, and industrial facility designs.
- Develop high-level concept engineering designs and detailed specifications using AutoCAD and REVIT software.
- Mentor and delegate tasks to engineers and designers, ensuring adherence to company standards.
- Conduct field surveys, site visits, and coordinate with project managers on technical aspects.
- Perform HVAC systems studies, building evaluations, and quality assurance reviews of designs.
- Provide construction administration support, including site visits and resolving technical issues.
- Participate in steering committees for technical topics and suggest departmental improvements.
HVAC Designer Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Lead the design and engineering production for HVAC systems across diverse project types.
- Develop detailed designs and specifications using industry-standard software like AutoCAD and REVIT.
- Mentor junior engineers and designers, overseeing their production and ensuring quality standards.

HVAC Designer Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering is required for this position.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience, with 7 years preferred in HVAC design.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and REVIT software for design and engineering tasks.
- Professional Engineer (PE) certification is mandatory for this role.
- Experience with mission-critical, healthcare, and industrial facility designs is advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems studies, building evaluations, and quality assurance processes.
