Scrum Master Overview

• The Scrum Master will oversee Agile processes, ensuring adherence to documented workflows and team self-governance.
• Facilitate ceremonies including grooming, planning, standups, reviews, and retrospectives for a remote team.
• Maintain Jira boards as the single source of truth, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Drive accountability across Product and Technology teams, ensuring adherence to Agile principles.
• Build and train a successor to independently manage Scrum processes and metrics.
• Ensure QA processes align with Agile workflows, maintaining visibility and adherence to gates.
• Collaborate with leadership to refine processes and integrate AI enhancements into workflows.
• This is a remote, contract position offering flexibility and impactful contributions.

Scrum Master Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Facilitate Agile ceremonies, ensuring adherence to established processes and timelines.
• Maintain and update Jira boards, ensuring accuracy and compliance with workflows.
• Generate and report sprint metrics, including velocity, backlog depth, and cycle time.
• Drive accountability for process adherence across Product and Technology teams.
• Train and mentor a successor to independently manage Scrum processes.
• Ensure QA processes align with Agile workflows, maintaining visibility and adherence to gates.
• Collaborate with leadership to refine processes and integrate AI enhancements into workflows.
• Monitor adherence to Agile principles, escalating deviations and recommending improvements.

Scrum Master Job Requirements

• Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in a relevant field is required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Scrum Master, preferably 7 years.
• Proficiency in Jira and Agile metrics reporting is essential.
• Strong understanding of Agile principles and process adherence.
• Experience in training and mentoring teams on Agile methodologies.
• Ability to manage remote teams effectively and ensure process compliance.
• Knowledge of QA processes and integration within Agile workflows.
• Familiarity with AI applications in Agile workflows is a plus.
