Come along as we explore the path of Green Key’s Architecture, Engineering, and Construction team. Formed 16 years after our firm was founded, this team is committed to connecting top talent with leading companies, while fostering innovation and growth. Rich Egloff, Principal, and Sean Coyne, Executive Director, reflect on their team’s short but significant journey, major achievements, and their optimistic future.
A Journey of Growth and Evolution
The AEC team’s journey began in 2020, with a unique passion for the industry and a dedication to talent acquisition.
From those early days, the team has grown both in size and expertise, evolving to meet the dynamic needs of the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction sectors. Their hard work and commitment have positioned them as leaders in AEC recruitment, facilitating numerous successful placements that have driven key projects forward.
Rich noted, “I don’t think we knew the team would become what it is now. Hiring people like Sean to help facilitate growth, as well as the development of other team members, we’re definitely ahead of where we all thought we would be.”
The team has also been committed to encouraging team members to grow and push the boundaries of their career.
Sean highlighted how he was able to grow both professionally and personally. “Since starting in 2019, I became more passionate about recruiting and I matured in my career. I now appreciate watching other people grow and learn. My role has also evolved into a management position where I was am individually contributing, but also working with people and helping them reach their career goals.”
The Heart of Their Success
At the core of their achievements are the values that have guided them since the beginning. Integrity, innovation, and a client-centric approach are the pillars that support everything they do.
Sean talked about the success of the team saying, “One of the biggest moments for me recently that highlighted our success was seeing five people in the top 20 list for the company. As such a new team, that’s something to be proud of.”
These values drive their recruitment strategies, fostering trust and excellence in every placement. Their dedication to understanding the unique needs of the industry ensures that they match the right talent to the right opportunities, creating lasting impacts.
“We meet on Fridays for anywhere from 15- 30 minutes to talk business or if somebody has something that they learned, they’ll share that. Everyone on the team is very open with our wins and our losses and we try to make others better”, said Rich.
Why AEC at Green Key?
Their focus on the industry stems from a deep belief in its potential to transform our built environment. They are dedicated to sourcing top talent for roles that drive innovation and excellence in the industry and work within their team to ensure they stay ahead.
Rich highlighted the team’s dedication sharing how the team works together, “If a certain message isn’t working and someone’s struggling, they know they can go into the team chat to cross collaborate and find out what’s working for other team members. We never want anyone to feel like they are alone, and this has been a big focus for us this year. As part of this, we encourage all team members to set up five or six calls over the first month or so with people outside of their team, so that they have other individuals to lean on, whether it’s personally or just professionally.”
By maintaining rigorous standards and staying attuned to industry trends, they ensure that their clients receive the best candidates for their critical positions, contributing to the successful completion of landmark projects.
Looking Ahead
As we look to the future, the team remains committed to pushing the boundaries of what is possible in talent acquisition. Their goals are ambitious, but with a team as dedicated and talented as theirs, they are confident in their ability to achieve them.
Rich discussed the future with excitement, saying, “We don’t really have any arms or staffing managers outside of myself and one thing about Green Key is that there’s no exact path to where you go. I think we will have a lot of leadership opportunities over the next two to three years. I’d love to see more leaders and more new roles created. If we can continue to carve the way for new roles, I think that would be an exciting, ambitious goal for us over the next couple of years.”
Together they will continue to build on their legacy of excellence, driven by the same passion and dedication that have brought them this far. Here’s to the next 20 years of innovation and success in AEC recruitment.
