Responsibilities:
- Evaluate financial transactions for compliance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS).
- Oversee labor charging practices and ensure strict adherence to guidelines.
- Analyze and report on indirect rate impacts under various scenarios.
- Coordinate the preparation of Incurred Cost Submissions, ensuring accuracy in all schedules and supporting documentation.
- Develop forward pricing rate proposals and cost impact statements for accounting changes.
- Conduct internal control reviews to align with DFARS Business Systems and other regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with defense contract oversight agencies such as the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) and Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) on audits and inquiries.
- Provide support and guidance to internal teams on compliance matters.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Proven analytical skills and a meticulous approach to problem-solving.
- Excellent communication abilities, with proficiency in explaining complex financial data.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate and thorough work.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Preferred Qualifications:
- CPA certification or specialized training in government contracting.
- Familiarity with CAS, FAR, and related regulatory frameworks.
- Experience with enterprise systems such as SAP, Workday, and Coupa.
- Previous experience preparing for and responding to audits from DCAA and DCMA.
