Job Description

Responsibilities: 

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' dietary requirements, health conditions, and lifestyle factors. 
  • Develop customized meal plans based on clients' goals, dietary restrictions, and preferences. 
  • Educate and counsel clients on nutrition principles, healthy eating habits, and portion control. 
  • Monitor clients' progress and make necessary adjustments to their meal plans as needed. 
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and trends in nutrition science. 
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals, such as doctors and nurses, to provide coordinated care. 
  • Conduct group nutrition education sessions and workshops. 
  • Provide support and guidance to individuals with specific dietary needs, such as athletes, pregnant women, or individuals with chronic illnesses. 
  • Maintain accurate and confidential client records and documentation. 
  • Stay informed about relevant regulations, guidelines, and ethical standards in the field of nutrition. 
  • Participate in professional development activities, such as conferences or workshops. 

 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in nutrition, dietetics, or a related field. Master's degree preferred. 
  • Certification as a Registered Dietician (RD) or Licensed Dietician (LD) is required. 
  • Strong knowledge of nutrition science, food composition, and dietary guidelines. 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively educate and motivate clients. 
  • Ability to interpret scientific research and translate it into practical advice for clients. 
  • Experience in conducting nutrition assessments and creating personalized meal plans. 
  • Familiarity with various health conditions and dietary restrictions. 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. 
  • Strong organizational and time management skills. 
  • Proficiency in using nutrition analysis software or applications. 
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated with industry trends. 
  • Compassionate and empathetic approach towards clients.
