Estimator

Responsibilities/Job Duties: 

• Review project plans and defines proposal and constructability requirements 
• Prepare complete labor and material cost estimates 
• Visit job sites to determine requirements for projects 
• Perform field take-offs and evaluations for estimate preparation 
• Review detailed estimate with the team and revise as necessary 
• Assess and manage project budgets using software tools 
• Work closely with the team to ensure accurate estimates meet project requirements and deadlines 
• Prepare and submit change orders when necessary 
• Understand and comply with code of conduct and ethics policies 
• Assist construction personnel through the entire project life cycle 

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Construction Management, or relevant field required 
• 1-3 years of estimating experience preferred 
• Proficient knowledge of civil engineering and architectural design 
• Excellent analytical and communication skills 
• Knowledge of technology materials and methods of installation 
• Ability to effectively work with a team 
• Knowledge of national, state, and local building codes 
• Ability to use and learn software platforms for construction companies 
• Experience in Bluebeam Revu, AutoCAD, and Revit 
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel 
• Willingness to continuously learn about building systems, materials, and pricing
