Position Overview: The Senior Estimator will play a pivotal role in our project planning and management process. This individual will be responsible for accurately estimating project costs, preparing detailed bid proposals, and ensuring that all project requirements are met within budget constraints. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in estimating within construction for the light-industrial, industrial, and commercial construction industries, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cost Estimation: Develop detailed and accurate cost estimates for construction projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
  • Bid Preparation: Prepare comprehensive bid proposals and coordinate with project managers, architects, and clients to ensure all requirements are met.
  • Budget Management: Analyze project specifications and drawings to create budgets and identify potential cost savings or risks.
  • Data Analysis: Review historical cost data, market trends, and vendor quotes to make informed recommendations.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure accurate and timely estimates.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present detailed reports and recommendations to senior management and clients.
  • Compliance: Ensure estimates and bids comply with all regulatory and company standards.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in estimating within construction
  • Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of estimating software and tools.
    • Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
    • Proficiency in interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
    • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
