Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and supervise tax compliance, consulting engagements, and tax-related projects within the department
- Schedule and delegate tax-related activities among employees within the department
- Ensure that the department is rendering quality tax services and client relationships
- Support partners with execution and development of tax-related services
- Prepare tax reports, correspondences, and research memoranda
- Perform research and consult team members on technical tax matters
- Advise and assist clients on how to avert task risks and manage tax burdens
- Identify and assess factors that may lead to tax risks
- Maintain knowledge and carry out research on new tax laws, trends, and legislation
- Network with other professionals in the field to remain up to date on tax laws and trends
- Supervise and train staff while also managing the workflow and overall team resources
- Provide tax data for clients and third-party professionals
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
- Master's in Taxation highly preferred
- CPA license required
- At least 7+ years of tax accounting experience
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills
- Experience with client service and team management
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, tax software, and QuickBooks
- Highest level of honesty and integrity
- Excellent research and time management skills
