Job Description

Job Title: INTERVENTIONAL RADIOLOGY TECH

Number of Positions: 5

  

Position Overview: (Major Functions and Non-Essential Functions):

Provides service to adolescents and adults. Produces high quality images for Radiology and the assigned areas within the Operating room that meet the standards established by the Mayo Clinic Department of Radiology. Requires competence in a variety of equipment and technology. Practices safety guidelines for patients, support personnel, and themselves.

Fosters teamwork through effective communication. Maintains flexibility to staff various work locations, shift times and lengths. Ability to work varied hours, shift lengths and respond to an on-call pager which may include days, evenings, nights, holidays, and weekends.

Additional Experience and/or Qualifications: (Has Achieved Competency in the Following Areas, Job Knowledge and Additional Considerations):

  • Experience within a sterile environment and aseptic technique preferred.
  • Associates degree preferred.

Minimum Education and/or Experience Required: (Education Requirements and Experience):

  • Graduated from an accredited Radiologic Technology program or registry eligible with certification obtained before start date of employment.
  • Minimum of 2-year interventional radiology experience

Licensure/Certification Required:

  • Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists: R.T.(R) (ARRT)
  • Current Basic Life Support certification.

Licensure/Certification Preferred:

  • ARRT registration in Vascular Interventional Radiology (VI) STRONGLY preferred.

Certifications & Licenses:

  • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
  • BLS (CPR)

Minimum Degree Required: Associate's Degree (Community College, MBO)

Start Date: 09/30/2024

Est. End Date: 09/29/2025

Hours Per Week: 40.00

Hours Per Day: 8.00

Days Per Week: 5.00

Schedule Notes: The schedule will be 4/10s with rotating evening and weekend call requirement. Business operating hours are M-F 7a-7pm so the shift will fall within those hours/days.
