Job Title: Project Manager – Electrical Residential Subcontractor

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Reports to: Operations Manager

Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in electrical residential construction to oversee multiple projects from inception to completion. The Project Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing electrical installation projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning & Coordination: Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets for electrical installations in residential projects. Coordinate with general contractors, suppliers, and on-site teams to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Budget Management: Monitor project budgets, costs, and expenditures, making adjustments to stay within financial targets while maintaining quality and safety standards.
  • Client Communication: Serve as the main point of contact for clients, addressing concerns, providing updates, and managing expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure all work complies with local building codes, industry standards, and safety regulations. Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and safety.
  • Issue Resolution: Identify potential risks or issues during the project and implement effective solutions to keep projects on track.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed project documentation, including schedules, budgets, work orders, and project closeout documents. Provide regular progress reports to stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or related field (preferred) or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of project management experience in residential electrical construction.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical codes, construction standards, and best practices.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with project management software and tools such as MS Project or Procore.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites within the Columbus area.
