    Midtown based law firm seeks a Junior HR Generalist, ideally with experience in a legal services environment to join them on a temporary basis. There is potential for permanent hiring in 2025.

Job Description

Duties: 

  • Assist with recruiting for all non-exempt positions from soup to nuts. Assist with sourcing and screening applicants.  
  • Responsible for updating the internal applicant tracking system and keeping candidates appraised of their status. Assisting with scheduling interviews and follow ups.  
  • Advise with employee records, facilitate training, and provide guidance on HR policies and procedures 
  • Assist with planning and coordinating employee engagement events; monthly gatherings, end of year holiday party etc. 
  • Responsible for overseeing all onboarding activities; coordinating background checks, scheduling welcome meetings, and conducting new hire orientations. 
  • Responsible for regular new hire check-ins. 

 

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree required with 3+ years of HR experience with a law firm environment 
  • Must have prior experience in full cycle recruiting 
  • Highly proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.). 
  • Must have prior experience using HR platforms such as; Workday, ADP, SAP etc. 
  • Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information. 
  • Highly comfortable working in a collaborative environment
